Default new handlebars

Hey people,
I just got a new 1200 custom and the handlebars are a little reach for me. I'm 5' 8' tall. Any suggestions ? Are the stock bars adjustible ? If not what's good ?

Mike

If you don't like the look of apes, then you can either go to buckhorns or maybe a riser. There are quite a few options, it just depends on the look you want. Drag bars were never comfortable for me either. Gave me fits with my lower back.

If you got a brand new Sporty then you already have pull back risers that bring the bars closer to you. The buckhorns are an option but not my style. I'd go for the apes.

Can't you rotate the bars toward you a little bit? On the cruisers, I can loosen two screws and rotate them toward me a few inches...

Mac, Good point. My local wrench told me the same thing. Only loosen two of my four bolts or the handlebars might fall down and ding the tank. They felt on my FSDI that I could only go about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch. I am getting buckhorns (I do like the look of the mini-apes better, but the buckhorns feel better and they;re pretty sure that they can do the buckhorns and pullback riser without new wiring.
