Anybody know the correct torque spec for the spark plugs on an '08 1200R?
Just found one of mine loose and prefer to use a torque wrench so it doesn't happen again.
I believe it's 11 - 18 ft-lbs, the same as they recommend with the plugs in the big twin engines.
They also recommend (if you don't want to use a torque wrench) to screw in the plug 'finger tight' and then turn an additional one quarter turn with a spark plug wrench.
Might just be me, but I never have used a torque wrench when installing plugs on the engines of any of my Harleys. I just do the 'finger tight' plus 1/4 turn. More or less just snug them down.
