Progressive 418s
First I want to say thank you to all the members of this forum for their opinions, advice and help that I didn't even have to ask for. A lot of good info here. I even appreciate the smart a$$ comments of those just joking around as I have a lot of that in me also.

Bought my 08 Nightster at the end of June and love it. Yesterday I put on a new set of 12.5" 418s and literally the minute I took the bike off the stand it started to rain and then it rained harder and then there was thunder and lightning! Needless to say, when the airport 40 miles away reported a funnel cloud touching down,
I didn't go for a ride.Today was beautiful. I rode my bike to work and joked with one of the guys on the job site that I should give him the keys to keep me from leaving and spending the day on my bike. After work I went for a sort ride (60 miles) and tuned the shocks. I wanted to ride the bike for a while before changing things and I'm glad I did.
As bad as the stock shocks are, they were balanced with the forks, now the balance is off. Looks like the Progressive fork springs are next. If you are even thinking about changing the shocks just do it, you won't regret it.
Peace
E
