Ok guys just wanted to give you some feedback on my new shocks. I have a 2005 Ultra that I had installed 12" Streetglide shocks on.....looked good, but rode like crap 2 up. I started doing some research on shocks and came to one conclusion...you want a good ride you need to pony up some cash. As it turns out, money is tight right now, but I needed a better ride for me and the wife. I knew Ohlins were out as well as legends and upper tier Progressives. I decided to take a chance, and I bought a set of 13" Progressive 412's with the HD springs. Speed Addict has them on EBay for $229 with free shipping. When I got the shocks, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. I quickly installed them on my bike, and 20 min later was cruising on them. I brought the bike back home and followed directions on how to set the sag. Even though they are 13", the seat feels the same height as when I had the 12" on. I have put about 200 miles on them now, and the bike is COMPLETELY different. The ride is a 100 times better than the OEM shocks. I have them set on their lowest setting for me, and on 3 for 2 up. Here is the funny part, I never told the wife I bought them, yet on our first ride she immediately noticed something was different! I can only imagine what the ride would be with the top end shocks, but for me I love these and they didn't break the bank (I sold the 12" shocks for $130).
So if you are even thinking about it, just do it.....get the 412's if that is all you can afford, I promise you won't be disappointed!!
