I had a close call a few hours ago. Wife calls me and says "Mom, the boys, and myself are having dinner in town if you would like to join us". I said sure why not. I would be the last to turn down a free meal. I figured Its a nice evening to have the sporty out for a short ride. We live 10 miles outside of town about a 20 min ride to the restaurant. I'm ready to go. I start up the bike let her warm up while I put on my riding stuff. Garage door is opened so I figured I would push the garage door button on my way out. I pull out slow enough to push the button and I don't know what happened but there must have been a misfire in my brain somewhere that made me pop the clutch without realizing it. Luckily I was slow enough that it stalled out the bike instead of gunning it right out from underneath me and landing flat on my back on the driveway. Other than my heart jumped. up into my throat. Other than that the evening was a success. I have identified the problem. I"M TIRED, been up since 1:30 this morning at work.
My brain fart was about 2 weeks ago while on the parkway my keys jumped out of my pocket onto the road so I pulled off quickly onto the grass going alittle too fast, I didnt loose control but I got a good scare. Btw I did find my keys...well some of them Im sure theres a few folks ridding around with keys stuck in their tires
Wait till you stop at a light during rush hour and forget to put your feet down. Been there, done that.
Why what happens, thats almost like riding a road bike and you forget to unclip from your pedals when you stop. LOL Been there and done that many times.
You never think it's going to happen to you, but last week I actually downshifted to 2nd, when I had intended to upshift to 4th. I have no idea what I was thinking cause I have never done that before. These things happen to everyone.
A few years ago I had just bought my second bike and was going to my parents to show it off.I pulled in the driveway to park and when I went to get off I just let the clutch out not even realizing it was still running.Needless to say it jumped and the fell over. How embarrasing.
