Default rear view mirror relocation...

Stupid question, however, i don't care, so here goes. I want to mount my mirrors underneath my bar, but they won't seem to turn without the strength of Hercules. How do I go about taking them off without screwing them up? Do they just screw out easily? Please help...

On my 07 1200C, the mirror stems go through the controls and have a nut on the bottom... Did you thke that nut off? Once that nut is off, they should just come out and you can invert them. The only other thing you have to watch out for is that the stems coming out of the bottom don't get in the way with the turn signals, unless you have relocated them.

I can take pics if you need them, let me know.

Thanks John.

I may need pics as my eyes are not the greatest. I think I know where you mean, however. I haven't relocated my signals yet, that is coming next, but I put on 29" broomsticks and I can't see behind me with the mirrors on the bar as my shoulders are way to broad. Thanks...

I hope you can see the little red circles around the nuts that need removed. Looking at mine, the front signals are in the way if you inverted the mirrors and hung them below your controls, but once you relocate them, you should have no problem.

Just a quick note, when you flip them upside down, you need to swap them side for side as well to clear your tank UNLESS you have huge risers, but even then you may have to swap sides. Just sayin.

The short stem on the stock Harley mirrors is too short for many riders. You often can only see your arm. Check out the long stem mirrors on the Harley site. Other vendors have long stem mirrors as well.

yeah, as far as the risers go, mine are 6", so they should clear the tank. Gonna check it after the STEELERS game. That is if Philly doesn't kill Roethlisberger before the end of the game. Where's our Offensive line ????
