hey guys, i'm been going through several options on redoing my bars and such on my 07 1200c, and my most recent obsession is z bars. I was hoping i could get everyone who has zbars on their sporty (specifically the customs) to post some pics. I'd like to see what some others have done before I do this myself.
One of my big questions is whether or not to keep the stock riser, or let the bars sit lower on the trees.
some zbars i've seen are apes and the ones i'm looking at are probably considered mini apes...8-10" rise. the z's just have a straight bend, rather than curved.
14 hours to internally wire them. Good luck! I had fun doing it, but doubt I would do it AGAIN!!! I also had to cut them in half and reweld them to fit the risers since hey were about 1/4in off. Just enough to **** you off.
They are great bars though. I love em' It was the first thing I changed on the bike before anything.
One thing I LOVE about em' - I haven't seen another bike with them yet and I have been to a tonnnnnnn of rallys and ride just about everyday. So that is nice. Cause that is really what I was going for - something that nobody else has or has done yet to a Sportster.
