learn that sweet spot first (mixture screw) open it up alittle wont hurt.
i have 48/180 on mine and the sweet spot is 3.5 turns out
dont all slam me on this but 3.5 turn sounds like alot, but that is where it is on mine
now all have a Great day and Ride Safe
try adjusting the screw mix first, you can always add the jet later at the recommended size (45/180- most likely). watch your plugs to see how its burning, and let performance be your guide.
I have the Vance and Hines straightshots and the Sceamin Eagle air intake.I used 180/45.I tried 175 but it was better with the 180.Also the air fuel mixture screw needs adjusting. It is under the plug that has to be drilled out.The whole job is pretty easy as long as you follow the instructions on this site.

I've got the plug off, and I've adjusted the screw. I'm waiting for my air cleaner to get delivered. If I can get away with not jetting and just adjusting the mixture I will... if not, I guess I have to go buy some jets. I was looking online, and they are $3 each, but then shipping kills it. I guess I have to find a dealer that will sell me a few jets to try out.
