tie down points?

Default tie down points?

probably a silly question to some.

I have a 2008 883 custom wondering if my rear turn lights are suitable as a tie down point for luggage, they look at feel solid, does anyone use these?

yep, i have a set of throw over saddlebags which i tie down at the back to the rear turn signal stems. they are plenty strong.

I've used my bungee net on the signals, no problems

Often strap my bungees to the signals mounts, no problems so far

Bungee cords, bungee net, backrest bag...no prob.

I don't use em that way, but they are very solid. It will hold, and no worries there.
