I am looking into a set of highway pegs for my Nightster that mount DIRECTLY onto the bike (not the kind that mount onto an engine guard). I stopped by the HD dealership today and the salesman who sold us our bikes said they're about $150 and easy to install yourself.
I love my mid-controls but want the pegs for long road trips when I'm not shifting.
This will probably not help you, but I got mine from a salesman at the dealership. He gave them to me a couple of days after I bought the bike. He was not even the one that sold me the bike, just a nice guy that heard me talking about wanting them to stretch out some.
Yep, free. He was a real short and had trouble reaching them. He took them off and gave them to me and I had them powder coated black. Heck of a nice guy.
I got mine off ebay from americanclassicmotors for 79.95 They easily bolted on. Took about 5 minutes. They have 3 different settings. Had to buy pegs extra. I love 'em!

Same here...but they went up a few bucks. Still well worth it! I have a link to the install instructions if you decide to buy.
i couldn't justify paying the high price of the newer highway pegs so i bought some highway pegs for the older sportsters and fab'd (if you want to call it that) a bracket. cost me all of about $25 total and only took about 15 minutes to do.

How sturdy are those? They look like there would be a decent amount of flex in them. Also, where you bolted them to the frame, was that part already there? Not the bracket you fabbed, but where you mounted the bracket you made.
