Been lookin' at the scoot...now a question
if you want it to stick really good the secret is to build it up in very very very fine mists. the first few coats should barely be visible. the mist sticks better and you can build on it to get darker and then you go full on with the paint.
the cool thing is if they ever get scratched just shoot it with the paint again, most high temp flat black paint will blend right in to the rest, you wont even see the spot you touched up!
when you run the bike it might smell for a little but its baking on and getting stronger. the smell goes away after a few minutes. and some high temp paints dont even do this
good luck!
oh and here is a pic of my pipe wraps and silver high temp painted pipe ends.

by the way you can also see i painted my shock cover, fork boots, and cylinders with the flat black paint. and i used high temp engine paint for the frame beucase its stronger than regular spraypaint.
edit
i had the entire engine side cases painted silver as well, but i stripped it off (yes you can do this as well, its not totally permanent) so i could get the raw aluminum look back, i still have the silver on the part where the oil filter spins on, you can see how clean it looks compared to the rest. its great stuff
a can of pressurized carb cleaner will force the paint off, but most solvents will not eat the paint away, especially if they just drip onto it or flow accross it, only pressure can take it off. just more info so you can get to painting your bike yourself and knowing more.
