Cleaned out the garage today.Took the dust cover off the bike and rolled it into the driveway. That is when I noticed seeds and shells apparantly left for me from a mouse who decided to make a winter home out of my bike.
The seeds were at the base of the engine, around the spark plugs, and on top of the engine. My concern is that the rocker boxes have those square holes on top. I'm sure some of this **** went down into those holes. Could that stuff have entered the motor through those holes? Keep in mind I'm no mechanic, so I really don't know how open it is down in there. Mice suck.
The "holes" on top of the rocker boxes don't go all the way through to the inside of the engine, so you're okay there.
I recommend you search thoroughly for nest materials. Mice nested in an old riding mower of mine. I removed the stuff I cound see, but the little buggers crammed grass and stuff where I didn't see it, and after about 10 minutes it caught fire.
I'd pull the ham can off of the A/C and look for a nest there too. Also be sure they didn't chew a hole in the filter.
