Does the XL Custom have more rake than the Roadster?
Comparing photos is a bit tough but it looks different. If it does, is the rake made up in the head tube or the triple-tree?
Thanks, Crapshooter.
But do you know if the rake comes from a different head tube angle in the frame or a different triple tree?
I ask because I have a 1200 Roadster and am looking for a triple tree to powdercoat black and a fellow has a C triple tree for sale.
I'm sure I'm correct in saying that the rake differences are due the rear shock hgt. and not the head tube or trees at all. Taller rear such as a roadster has = steeper head angle thus less rake, shorter rear like the customs with stock hgt. forks = more head angle thus more rake.
