Default My 1971 XLCH Restoration

Here is a photo of my '71 Sportster that I bought in 1973. Unridden and stored in my saltwater boat shed 1983 to 1995. See avatar to left. I fully restored it with a five year effort beginning in 1995. I did all of the work myself, including the catalyzed urethane/clearcoat paintwork, engine rebuild and wheel rebuilding. Starts on the first kick. This is a very sweet ride!

Absolutely gorgeous. You should be very proud. Don't keep that one in the shed too much, get it out and ride.

That is a gorgeous rebuild. 1971, my birthyear, I need to find me one and do my own restore...now I'm inspired.

Enjoy the ride.
