Default lowering kit

Has anyone used one of these "lowering kits" I see on e-bay? Most importantly, used with a side plate mount, it seems like it moves the plate mount back too far.

Sure, go for it. If you're mounting your plate to the shock bolt I doubt it matters how far back it is. I run min on the axle (more stable, less vibes) and lowering brackets would definitely interfere with it.

Mine is on the axle also. By looking at them mounted I figured it would push the plate back too far.

With an axle mount and the lowering bracket I would think that if the plate mount worked at all it would be completely vertical with no lay back at all and look bad in my opinion.

I initially mounted it on the shock bolt but it was up just a bit too high, the tailight almost blended with the signal. I suppose I could put it back on there once it's lowered. Have to give it some thought.
