Default Shortshots

First of all WHY MAN! unless the local Barney Fife has your number, leave them out. Be Loud and Proud! If you have to put them back in, it's simple push the baffles in and they secure with a simple set scew on the bottom of both pipes.

i ran without the baffles for a while, and recently put the quite ones in. i prefer them with the baffles. they cut down on the harshness and tinny sound. idle is much more enjoyable. dont get me wrong i like how loud they were and still are. when youre on the throttle they are every bit as loud. and no they are not as simple as just removing the screw and pulling them out. if the pipes are already mounted, they have to be taken off the bike, heat shields removed and then you can access the set screw to remove the stock. youll need some needle nose pliers to yank them out with especially if youve ran the pipes for a while.

I cant speak for the Shortshots, but I have Sideshots on my 1200c. I added the quiet baffles after the pipes were installed. I did not need to remove the pipes. i just loosened all of the head shield clamps and slid the heat shields up until I had access to the allen head screw on the back of each pipe. My standard baffles came out quite easily since i had only ran the pipes for a couple of weeks. Good luck.
