If you are 170 and your g/f or wife is 125 you shouldn't have an issue. My father in law is about 210 and mother in law about 130. They have no problem going 2 up around the coast of FL.
That is really good news. My gf, who has grown up in a Harley family would want to ride with me. In fact, even though she normally objects to me spending any amount of money on toys, is encouraging this purchase. I'm only around 165-ish and she's only around 95, so the 883 should have no trouble at all. I'll just have to find a halfway decent two up seat, and a sissy bar.
I spoke to my father in-law about the Iron, and he honestly thinks I'd be crazy to not get it. He thinks it's the perfect bike for me (a novice rider who refuses to ride an import), and he's going to help me negotiate a good deal on it.
I'm pretty stoked about this. With any luck I'll be riding it this summer.

Best of luck with it man. Post some pictures when you get your new bike.
Were excited about the IRON ! It hasn't come in as of yet, but we cant wait. I ride an 07 1200c & the IRON is for my wife. If there was a IRON on 1-20-07... I would more than likely have one myself. Thats one good looking ride to me. Good luck
