Question Internalling Wiring Bars question???

Quick question, if i wanted to internally wire my handle bars, do I have to cut and solder the wires, or is there a way to fish the connector/plug through the handle bars with out cutting? I won't need any extra length, so thats not a concern. I've searched the internally wiring question, but havn't found an exact answer to my question. If it matters, i have an 09 Nightster...

No, you don't have to cut your wires. Take your gas tank off. Disconnect the switch plugs then release the individual wire terminals from the plug housing. I find a large safety pin works well to release the individual pins. A dental pick works, too. Just study the plug and you'll figure it out.

don't cut them!!! go to dyna section there's a "how to "sticky on the different connectors HD uses and how to take them apart. Way less trouble down the road taking them apart than cutting them Take your time pulling wires thru the bars and it's not bad. If you start gettin mad walk away then go back to it !

Thex I ran the wires thru my drag bars are you going to run drags or apes if you run apes the wires aren't going to be long enough on mine I removed the pins from the connectors then ran them thru the bars, connectors were to big to fit thru holes in bar, then put pins back into connector.I have a Nightster the manuel for that bike tells you how to remove the pins from the connectors. hope this helps.

just changed my bars today. got rid of drags w/ 8" welded on risers and went with new 883L bars w/ 6" risers. i cut the wires at the solder joint where they were cut before. had to splice in about 2 ".
