Fuel enrichment knob ( choke related )

Yep that's what the dealer called it "choke enrichment ****"...........
Anyways, when I start the 1999 883 Sportster I pull out the "choke" and it wants to go back in after a 30 seconds or so.
Temporarily I have made a little clip (closepin like) that goes on around the stem and I pull it off myself
after it warms up while I am riding.
Is there anyway I can get the choke to stay pulled out until I push it in?

There is a plastic tensioner nut on the enricher **** stem. Turn slightly, I believe clockwise and the **** will stay out until you push it back in. If that doesn't work, then try counterclockwise. If that doesn't work, you may have a slight problem with the enricher cable, but I seriously doubt it.

you didnt say weather or not you have the se stage one on your bike if you do be careful and dont have the "choke" out for very long it will foul your plugs really bad I know because i did it.
