Thanks for the grip info james...I've been thinking of new grips.

austen, yes I can still see the speedo. The nice thing about using the cable clamps to mount is that I can adjust the height in just a few minutes. I'll try to take a seated position pic this week since I'll be out an about with temps in the 70's.

Thanks drummer. I'll probably black it all out including the turn signal mounts this winter. I got this all finished very quickly because we had 80 degree temps for a few days and everyone was out riding except me. I took it apart and it was like 30 degrees out and then a few days later it jumped into the 80's...no time for paint! lol

Also, thanks for complimenting the read. I wrote it up as best I could because I have found a lot of people online who want to know specifics of swapping out the bars so I wanted to provide as much info as possible. I appreciate you all taking the time to read that exhausting post. lol

[quote=The_Rooster;4705668]Been a forum lurker for a few weeks now and finally have something to post so I joined.
For a first post, I feel this isn’t bad and it may answer a lot of questions for some and for others give a few ideas.

Rooster

Thanks for posting such a good bit of info. Me and a pal were changing my 07 N bars and got a bit stuck. I googled "changing a nightster bars" and your post came up. Helped us out a lot so again thanks for taking the time to explain what you did. Top tips.
