Default Nightster battery cover fell off!

I got it back but it isn't pretty. Do you guys know the part number for it so I can order it or do any of you have one around?

I hate those things! HD needs to find some other way to fasten those things down. Mine fell off to but the good thing was it happened just as i parked it in the driveway. Now i use zip ties on the damn thing.

go to the dealer and get the new "clip". No charge, and it holds the cover secure.

Mine fell open going down I-35. I couldnt believe it didnt fall off. I took it to the dealership and they ziptied it. That's Harley service.

just look for one on ebay you should be able to find it for like 10 bucks.

Sand off the rough places, paint it wrinkle black (hey it's a Nightster) and ziptie it and there you go!

its the harley underneath shedding its plastic cages. its not a japanese bike and it knows it! it wants it to stay off or for you to buy a chrome steel replacement hahaha

I thought they got that fixed with the new clips. Put the new clips on my 06 custom and have not had a problem. Go to your dealer and make a big stink and see if they will warranty it for you due to a defective clip.
