Hi, I would think that your foot peg with the "curb feeler" should hit first on that nighty. Just asking. Ride safe.

My stand was dragging as well and the dealer found that it was bent at the frame so they bent it back and fixed the problem for now. It doesn't seem very sturdy so it will probably always bend with use.

I went over a speed bump (the paint had worn off of it and I didn't see it) too fast and bottomed out and my stock kickstand now is loose and scrapes whenever I take a LH turn. Mechanic said to get new bushings, another rider said it's the spring. Have the bushings but haven't put them in...not sure it's worth the work. Mine is an 883L so it sits low already.

Have seen the jiffy stands but don't care for how large they look on my small of a bike.

My local HD dealer (Bristol, UK) checked the parts book and said there is only a replacable pivot pin and no 'bushings' - maybe it's cause I have a 'older' '95 Sportster model. None in stock so waiting for it to arrive.
Also paid out for one of those fantastic claw kickstands to be made - from Canada - its slightly shorter which will help in parking up and will be not worn inside where the pin goes through.

Like i know, raise the bike, that's not happening, i just bought the 11" progressives.... are there any aftermarket kickstands, etc to help?

any help would e appreciated
Same thing happen to me!!! There should be a peg under the bike where the jif stand spring hooks on...have a friend hold the bike up put the stand up take the spring off and crack that peg hard with a hammer in the wrong way. I did this with about 10 nice blows with a hammer to that peg when I put the spring back on it pulled the spring MUCH tighter fixing it and I did not hurt anything.

I rebuilt my kickstand system. New bushings, cleves pin, and a STEEL cotter pin. It's like new!!! I hope this lasts longer for me.
