Hello everyone. I'm new to bikes in general, but am very mechanical. I did a search and didn't find what I was looking for exactly.
I have a 2004 1200C Sportster and need to replace the front rocker gasket. I know I should replace it with a metal one. Is there a particular brand recommended over the dealer? If so, where is the best place to order it from?
I always get James gaskets, just go to your local indy shop or cruise around ebay. Most definately stay away from the paper gaskets, they do work good, but are a pain in the a$$ to scrape off when replacing!!!
Actually, the rocker cover gaskets are rubber, unless your talking about the head gasket. I've always ordered/used James gaskets....From E-bay or my local Indy when I only needed to replace the top two gaskets out of the four for the rockers.
