Default Upgrades

I own a '06 XL 1200 Roadster and I'm ready to start adding some HP.

I bought a Kuryakyn Hyper Charger, I'm looking into a Hooker Troublemaker or a V&H Short Shot exhaust and a Stage 1 Kit.

Would my stock power train setup be able to handle the power increase?

Would I have to upgrade the ignition or the ignition timing?

Also, will this setup make a decent air/fuel mixture with out much tuning?

Black Katalyst,

The Sporty will easily handle the upgrades you're talking about - it's built like a brick outhouse!

Can't tell you if you'll get much out of an ignition swap, but by changing your exhaust and AC to free flow types you will need to rejet the carb for a richer mixture or you'll run WAY too lean.

Good luck with the new bike!

Thats exactly what I wanted to hear. Makes things a lot less complicated.

Thank you.
