Pitting on Wheels

I noticed fairly minor pitting on a cast wheel. Anyone recommend what I can do to get rid of it? Wire wool? Chemicals?

I'm not positive, but I don't think you actually can get rid of it, its like particles from the surface are no longer there, so not much you can do (maybe I'm confusing this with something else).

I think I used the wrong term. What I was trying to describe are tiny white bumps on cast wheels.

If you referring to the pitting that occurs on the polished area of the rim all you can do is try to ploish it out. Simichrome works very nicely. Keep in mind that Harley rims are not clear coated or sealed in any way. Moisture and brake dust attack the wheels like no tomorrow. Keep them clean and polished or they'll look like hell in a couple of years
