Both the 1200R and 1200C have the high performance heads and cams, and both are have 9.7:1 compression and produce an advertised 79.0 ft-lb of torque at 3,500 RPM and are rated at 70 HP.
Couple friends of mine work up at the HD plant in Kansas City, where the Sportsters and Dyna's are produced.
Been a year or so ago, but I believe they told me the same engine was installed in both the "R" and "C" model.
I'll doubt check with them later this week and find out for sure.
