Mine kept overheating. I've tried every method recommended here and still they kept running up about 1800 degrees. So I just took them all off. Problem solved.

Hey jerks, don't just throw away what you don't use because the container was opened... Most local police departments will use the remainder of the fluid for their light bars on their cruisers...duh

No kidding! My dealer normally charges $40 for the fluid for mine.

Hey, I have a question, did they change the blinker fluid when they went to EFI? I could have sworn that the fluid I used on my '85 was heavier weight than the stuff I just picked up.

Our PD department stopped doing that - people were putting additives in that made the lights malfunction... Speeding ticket proceeds went down 20% before they figured out why nobody was pulling over...

wow 7 pages and going strong! who says sporty riders can't hold an intelligent conversation! I will have to say that this has been the most edukational thread i have ever read, so many ideas to try! you guys are great, I thought I was gona have to go ask my dealer what to use (and look like a noob!) who knew there were so many different blinker fluids? I bet they don't have this much fun up in the electraglide threads talking about what kind of geritol to use! or what size depends to buy?
