Default 883 Iron Kick Start

I would like to know if its possible to put a kick start on the new model Sportster Iron 883, im a real fan of old school models but i just got the Iron, so i pretend to change for a old school as much as possible like a nice kick start with a BMX pedal and a nice ape hangers (didn't decide witch one's yet) and a S&S air filter, im also thinking about (later) due the 1200 kit to take all the power of this beautifull machine...
Please leave your comments and advices i will apretiate a lot.....

Did a quick search and I can only find kick start kits for 1979 and older Sportsters...

Maybe call this place, it says in their introduction that they can get kick start conversion kits but you will have to call them. http://www.steelthundercc.com/sportsterpages_main.html

This has been asked many times and if I recall correctly it would be more worth your money to buy an old bike and restore it to new.

It is possible but there isn't a bolt on kit for 500 bucks.

There are no kick start kits after about '79 that I know about, but that doesn't mean it can't be done. I have been looking into this and found that it will take a whole lot of work and custom machining to do it, not worth it for me.

Might be a trick to it. Consider the fuel injection, timing, etc.

Have yet to see one on an Evo Sporty. While anything is possible, it is also often too expensive to be practical. It'd probably be about as cheap to whack off the whole tranny, weld mounts on the rear of the engine, fab mounts on the frame, and slip in a Big Twin tranny. In other words, not cheap!

For BMX - why wouldn't you want to do this?

there are deffinetly kits for kickstarts for later than 79, just doing a quick search doesn't mean there not out there...if ya wanna do a kick start ya need to do a couple a things and it can be a pricey deal, but who gives a sheet if thats what ya wanna do....that being said sinse the iron is so new i don't think there making anything for "iron specific" starts, i've seen them on nightsters before check baker out...
