If I put on a pair of Screamin' Eagle Street Performance slip-on's would I need a re-map/download? I plan on keeping the OE a/c, I just don't know if the slip-on's would make the bike run lean. I don't want to burn the valves.
My dads going through the same situation. He has an 06 super glide. He put some bub exhaust on his bike and the dealer told him that just exhaust shouldnt require anything. But if you get the stage one breather, intake, whatever you want to call it. You need to do something. They explained to him that they cant do the screaming eagle downloads anymore due to E.P.A. regulations. The only alternative is buying some kind of race tuner or whatever those are called. You know, V and H fuel pak, or power commander or cobra 12000s. They told him the price was something like 700$. He decided its running fine right now. I actually called another dealer 60 miles up the road and they confirmed what this guy said.

Think about it............
They can't do the $150.00 download because of the violates the EPA requirements, but they CAN sell you something else for $500.00+ that also DOES NOT meet that EPA requirements to fix you right up.
It's called the usual Stealer Rip Off song and dance.
