when i first got this bike i thought it was strange that it didnt have a tach, but after riding for awhile i understand completely... any time that i would need a tach i should not be looking down!!
i ride mine like i stole it, and that means all eyes on the road- other day i happened to look at my speed... man this thing can move- 70 mph between traffic lights!!
yes, i am trying to slow down!
have never hit the rev limited, in spite of the fact that i run it up...
I can find a tach for the twin. Thats not really a problem, I just need to find out which wire would control it. If I need to splice it into the coil, or if there is already a tach wire in the harness.
There is a DIGITAL tach signal wire in the harness that runs to the speedo. You also should consider the fact that the tach needs to be weatherproof if you're looking at generic units.
