if it doesnt flash at the coil then your coil may still be fine. you need to see if there is a signal comming from the cam postion sensor to the ecm using the static ignition timing procedure -with the harness between the c.p.s. and the e.c.m. connector with the pos on the green wire and neg on black/white wire. also sometimes bad grounds or shorts can cause issues.
im not sure how to tell if you have a timing issue or a component failure issue, if your lucky you just have a bad connection.
R U confused yet? hahahaha.
There is power going to the coil. (White wire, black tracer). Now with my handy dandy test light, if I go to ground and then into the disconnected pink wire (neg. coil lead) and crank the bike...no flashing of the light. And not sure if that was the way to do it, I connected the wire of the light to the neg. post of the coil and the light end into the pink wire, and again cranked the engine, but still no flash.
So I think that I'm gonna take out the module out tonight and pick up a S.E. module on the way home from work tomorrow. (pay day) I'm gonna cross my fingers and hope she'll start when I get it in.
