yeah I'm going to have to run some seafoam through it i took it for a ride today and once it got hot it wouldn't even stay running at idle for more than 10 seconds, she backfired through the carb once when i got her home so its a carb problem for me, she has 16000 miles on her which my friend put all of them on when he bought it in '05 hes ridden it across the country and it did sit for about 3 or 4 months before i picked it up so we're going to try to run some seafoam in the gas and see if that cleans it out, if not i'll be taking it to the dealer in town.

Why take it to the dealer if your dad is a good car carb guy? The sporty carb is easier to work on than those older car four barrel carb.
