Music while riding = Bad?
i just got my bike and i was wondering if it is illegal to ride your bike with an ipod in? i know even if it is legal it may not be the safest, but i wouldnt do it all the time just on long highway rides.

May be Legal to do so But! Im out there to enjoy the peace & quiet! except to listen to my bike running smoothly. How can one hear if anything is wrong? with the motor etc...

Wether its legal or not depends on your location. I see no harm in using an iPod on a bike, so long as you are not distracted selecting songs. I normally don't use one except if I'm doing a 3 or 4 hour ride, and then I will just select a playlist

I use Sony buds ($35) on an LG 8500 Chocolate3 music phone and I can't hear anything but the music.

I ride some very heavily trafficked roads. I would never listen to music - I need all of my senses available all the time. Music is much too distracting

Some states allow you to have 1 ear bud in. I sometimes wear my mp3 player and Skull Candy Smokin Buds ear buds and I can hear them fine at 70mph with no windshield on.
