So Im about to try my first attempt at servicing my bike myself, don't feel like spending so much on service at the dealer. Went to get the oil and this is what the person recommended I use.
In my Clymer manual it recommends HD oil...does it really matter? And has anyone used this oil before on their sportsters?
Thanks for the help
edit: the glare is covering a little, but it is SAE 20W/50.
Used Amsoil 20W50 for everything on my 04 Sporty for 3 years with the Finest of results.. With 5 Blackstone Oil test results showing engine was in top shape..
if your top end doesn't make a lot of noise, then you should be fine. The only reason I run HD oil in mine is because it quiets down the sewing machine on board my bike. That's the only difference I've found with the HD oil.
