I have a set of the slashcut on mine, they look good and sound good but after 1600 miles they started leaking, they have a reducer between the head pipe and the muffler that is only welded in about 1/3 of way around, with the heat and vibration it leaks bad. I've sent them an e-mail and got no response in two weeks, so I would ckeck them over really good before you install them.

Got'em on my train, I love the way they growl!

Something to remember with installing pipes, always loossen, adjust and retighten after a couple hundred miles. This will help let the pipe be where it wants to be, to help eliminate stress damage do to vibration. helps let them seat to the bike.

I just placed my order... I figure what the hell, for $100 bucks less than the V&H (at the CHEAPEST place I could find) they can't be bad.

$202.86 shipped to my front door! From what I've read in this thread it sounds like I got a hella of a deal on some pretty decent pipes.

Thanks guys!
Jason

I have them on my Iron 883.

They have heat shields down to where slipons would go.
But the heat shields don't come off, they've been welded on.

I had no problem installing them, just did it this past saturday.
Keep in mind, you can't use Mid controls with these. They get in the way.

I didn't see any issues with quality, they came with all the hardware I needed and bolted them right up. The fitting was very tight. They're like 1/16 of an inch away from the forwards and at the end they are barely touching. After a few miles, I'm going to loosen and re tighten them to make sure they fit well.

You take off the stock balance chamber and brackets. There's a new bracket that goes under the belt cover.

I made a before and after video, if you want to see/hear the difference.

I'm at work so no sound but looks good... I'll listen to it this evening when I get to the house.

Sounds good about the brackets... I was curious as my S/E slip-ons (I think they may not be for a sportster) don't mount up to the stock bracket that well. I also wanted to make sure it was going to eliminate that big *** stock bracket! I ordered them this morning so I'll have a project Saturday morning... Gonna fix the stripped screw on my card and do the re-jetting and install the new pipes... Well, I say that they may not be here by then.

Thanks bro,
Jason

P.s. - I have forward controls, thanks for the heads up though.
