I was looking at a post and someone said that Hooker was having a deal on pipes... They are.
Anyone here running the troublemakers that look similar to the VH shortshots? Or someone had experince with both? Here are the ones I'm looking at: http://www.holley.com/27404-1HKR.asp
I gotta figure out how to post pics!
1. Do the hookers have heat sheilds?
2. Do the hookers use the factory exhaust mount or a new one?
I been looking to get the V&H but, these Hookers look like an unbeatable deal if they are a good set of pipes. I'm going to email them but, figured you guys could probably give me a better answer faster!
That is a pretty sweet deal, I love the look of them, but I have heard a bad thing or two about the quality of them. I haven't had them though, so let someone who actually knows chime in. I would probably get them, but thats just me.

I think I read that post too, something about sounds and works great but, falling apart after a year or two???
But, for the price I may have to get a set of these... Unless someone has something REALLY good to say about the V&H shortshots... These look about the same and $100 less.
I had the short shots and didnt care for them plus everybody had them so I sold them and went with the troublemakers with the long slash cut and the heat shield broke on them so hooker sent me a set of the ones you want since they didnt make the long slash cut anymore and I loved them they are loud and makes the sporty sound like a big twin plus it seemed like I gained a little more power and I never had a problem with the news ones
I was looking at the troublemakers too, but by the time I decided to get them they were out of the style I wanted so I went with the rebels. They are loud, look great and you cant beat the price tag. They are low in stock so you better act now.
I've got the Troublemakers and I love them. The full heat shields look awesome. The sound is awesome. They were also very easy to install. I know others have had issues with the quaility, but, I had no issues. You cant beat them for the price. Even if you scratched them up you could still wrap them with heat tape and it would look awesome also.
Thanks, Chuck
I friend of mine had them on his 1200L before he rebuilt it...They're nice pipes and sound good but his started to rattle really bad after a year or so, we think it was the baffles.
