Default Is a re-map necessary?

If I wanted to add a set of Hooker Dark Sides to an Iron 883 would I absolutly have to get it tuned or will it run ok with the stock ECM settings?

you can change the exhaust without remapping. when you change the ac, you need to remap or get a power commander

you can tune it yourself... but why would you not want to tune it? what is the point of getting the pipes then bud! put on an AC, get a SERT and plug that sucker in! you will love it

If you're like me, dont have loads of cash, and just want the bike to not sound like a honda, yes you can just do pipes. The remap is a need with the a/c. My guess is, like me, you'll eventually want to complete the stage 1, but in the mean time you can nail step one with pipes and get your bike sounding like a harley.

Not required, but recommended along with a high flow A/C.

If you do change your pipes and get a lot popping, then you will at a minimum need to get the HD download. It's about 150.00. It's your bike, but why cheap out now???

you will not get "alot" of popping. it will only pop on decel. and not bad, actually sounds good. the real problem is that it can blue your chrome pipes, but if they have chrome heat shields then that is not a problem.
