after the 1,000 mile servicing. it now has a Sundowner seat, forward crash bars and the
removable, medium-low sissy bar and 5-bar luggage rack combo. The clutch friction
point and the rear brake are both improved, but I can't really tell any other operational
differences.
The seating position is definitely different and it will take some getting used to, but I think
moving me up and forward may help give me a more relaxed riding position as I tend to sit
too far back in everything; cars, bikes, planes, boats.. Thats just me.
I am going to have to learn to mount it differently with the sissy bar, though. I keep on
snagging my foot on it getting on and off. I'll learn.. Probably need to take more of a
dog-pissing-on-the-hydrant posture when getting on and off..
Nice looking bike. Yep the old doggie leg hitch is how i do it and i have the tall sissy bar. Takes a lil getting use to and i prolly look funny doing it, but oh well
That yard treatment is called xeriscaping and has become very popular in the
Southwest due to chronic water shortages. The idea is to plant nothing but
native plants that need little or no watering. It wouldn't work back east 'cause
you'd get all sorts of crap growing up between the stones.
Of course the chronic water shortage is because there ain't much rain which means
good riding weather 10 months of the year..
