Fork oil

Help - anyone changed their fork oil yet - 2008 Nightster ?
I got 5500 miles and wonder if it's time or what . . . and can I do it myself.

Fork oil service interval is 15,000 miles.
Yes, if ya got the right tools & Service Manual.

will I need to remove the fork tubes from the T-tree in order to do the job ?
I would also like to add a little pre-load to eliminate some of the sag - is that possible ?

I just drained the oil out of my 08 nightster. I bought it used with 900 miles on it a month ago. It now has 2200 on it. I wanted to improve the soft feel and thought that 30w fork oil may help but drained it out and oil looked like brown **** water. Now I am having trouble finding out how much to put back in. I am going to see if my Harley shop can help or I may just buy a manual for the bike.
