Default changing fork oil

I'm thinking that the fork oil didn't get changed during my 20,000 service which means I wont be going back there anytime soon so on that note, how difficult to do it myself. I have fairly good mechanical skills and access to a bike lift. any tips would be greatly appreciated

My owners manual calls for a front fork rebuild/oil change at 50,000 miles. This is for a 2013 Road glide Ultra (FLTRU). Since I had Progressive monotubes installed, that requirement is gone.

What year and model bike you have. Pre 2014 they have a bleeder on the bottom of the forks and it's pretty quick. 2014 bangers and up don't have the bleeder so you have to take the forks off to drain them. I did it couple months ago to change out the front springs. Not hard just time consuming.

Pretty easy job. My 2008 flhrc has the drain screws on the fork lowers. The stock ones are phillips head screws. I would highly recommend picking up some allen socket head screws to replace them before you get started.

Try searching you-tube for your year and model, you'll probably find something.

Use the Screaming Eagle fork oil , a little heavier better feel, forks rebuilt just like new 2013 Ultra Limited.
