New bike/New rider
I bought my first bike on Sunday. 2009 Sporty 1200 custom. I had to have a friend ride it home because I only have a temporary permit. In Michigan you can ride with a temp. permit if someone is riding with you. Monday morning I went out with a buddy and put 110 miles on it. I got sunburned like never before but it was the most fun I can remember. I should have bought a bike a long time ago. I'm 5' 10" and weigh 235 pounds but I enjoyed being on it and will be riding the hell out of it for now on. As soon as I get my full endorsement anyway.

There was a nascar race in Irish Hills this past weekend and that is where the dealer is located. I didn't want to start out on the wrong foot and get caught leaving on a new bike and only a temp permit. He has a Harley of his own so he must be ok. haha. He seemed to like riding it the 70 miles home even though he rides a 2008 Soft tail classic. He must be a closet sporty lover.
