Hey guys. Has anyone gotten rid of their pullback riser and put mini apes on their 1200c? 04 and up is what I'm looking for. I think thats the direction I'm going and I'd like to see some pictures of it. Thanks.
i'll see if i can dig some up...ya lookin for pics with the big tank on? i got a bunch a pics of my 04C with a penut tank on, let me know
Yeah big tank. Im just trying to get an idea what my bike will look like without the pullback riser and with mini apes. What im thinking of doing is getting the speedo clamp off a nightster or a 1200 low. But the dude at the dealer said it wont work. My guy at the local bike shop said it will work. I seem to think it will work but maybe thats because I want it to work. I guess the difference is where the wires go into the different speedos. Anyway, what do you think?
Some pics in my gallery, minis on 3" straight risers. Might go back to 1-2" risers and 14s later. I never liked the stock pullback risesr even before apes, looks like it should be on a Vrod, victory or honda.
sorry man, i don't have any pics, the whole time i had the big tank on i also had those risers...i think the dealer only knows how to; what i call "plug and chug" if it doesn't bolt on or plug in they say it can't be done...my guess is that a nightster speedo will work just fine with hardley any issue at all
But the dude at the dealer said it wont work. My guy at the local bike shop said it will work.
I've ran into the same problem at the parts counter at my local shop, if the HD catalog doesn't have the part they say it won't work. sometimes wonder if they really know the bikes or just how to read a catalog
