you should be running at least 30 in the front and 36 in the rear. I think! Buy yourself a service manual and it will tell you everything you need to know! I can't read that small writing on the tire either.
The pressure markings on the tires are NOT recommendations, they are maximums.
For my 2009 1200C the factory recommendations are 30 front, 36 rear with
more air to be added if carrying a passenger or excess weight. I don't know
what would be recommended on other Sporty versions / years.
The print is small
I know 30 front and 36/40 (solo/two up) in the rear. Question is have any seen the pressure vary (lose) by as much as three pounds within a week?
Just took pressure (digital gauge reputed by auto zone to be "spot on") cold this morning in the front got a readout of 27.5.
Last Friday I took the pressure at a gas up it was 30.5 in the front?
Did I lose 3 pounds in the front tire in 4 days? Did when I took the pressure make the difference (Friday was after running 10 miles and stopping to fill up the tank; today was when I took her out of the garage)?
The suggested pressure(s) are they when the tires are cold?
The numbers given are for cold tires. You should see a 4-6 lbs increase with a fully warmed tire. Anything more than that and you pressure is too low or too high. Metzelers tend to run a lttle higher pressure than Dunlops in many applications. On my 00 I run 38 front and 40 back on my metz 880's
I run 36 in the front and 40 in the rear, but I do a lot of 2 up riding. if it's just me, I will drop the rear tire to 37. don't ask me why, I just do.

+1 - Tire pressures should always be measured cold.
Recommended tire pressures vary by tire manufacturer and should be obtained from the manufacturers website. Their recommended pressure for a given tire will vary based on the weight of the bike model it's being mounted on.
