A few of you out there might remember that I'm contemplating a 1200L. I'd like to see some of yours. Heres a chance to show off your scoot. Tell me all about them. Thanks

I have a Black 2007 XL1200L Low and I have put just a little over 2,000 miles on it as I do have some other Sportsters to ride as well. (See My Garage) I took it this year to the Laughlin River Run in Laughlin, NV and that is about a 330 mile each way trip for me as I live in Redondo Beach, CA. I stopped once for gas on the way down and once more on the way back home. Doing over 100 MPH out on the Desert Highway was no problem for this bike at all. I have had the dealer put on a HD Tachometer and SE Mufflers and a SE Air Cleaner and had it remapped. It runs very well as it is now but I have a set of RB Racing 2 into 1 exhaust pipes that I want to put on it very soon. I also have a HD Sundowner seat that I can put on it in a New York minute if I feel the need for it on a LONG trip. The seat that I have on it is a stock 2007 XL1200 Custom seat and that came about because when I went to the dealer to look at the new 2008 XL1200 Roadster that they had on the Showroom floor I saw the 2007 XL1200L Low and the 2007 XL1200 Custom that was right next to it. I really liked the look of the Chrome and Black engine finish but I liked the look of the Low better than the look of the Custom. The salesman was asking me what would it take to buy the bike and I said “If you put the Custom seat on the Low I will buy it”. Man, he RAN back into his office and he came back with a little screwdriver and he had the seat off of the Low so fast that I nearly fell over I was laughing so hard and he took off the seat of the Custom and he put it on the Low and he said “Will you buy the bike now?”. After all that effort on his part I thought that I really had to buy that bike from him. I think that you will enjoy a 1200 Sportster. The included Photo shows that the seat is much thicker than the pictures of the other stock Low bike seats and it still has on the SE Mufflers and the Speedo/Tach mount is visible as well. I also like the look of the Nightster and there are some VERY cool looking Nightster pictures posted around here on this site to look at but I already have a Sportster with an all Blacked out engine finish and I wanted the look of the Chrome and Black finish so I bought the Low instead and I an very happy that I did too!

Hey Rob, here a few pics they're not the greatest cause I took them with my crackberry. I included the ones from the front that you PM'd me about. Whenever I get access to real camera I'll take some more.

Yeah Wide-Glides, put them on myself. Didn't have to change the cables just a little rerouting.
