Default Nighster Mods-Intake, drag bars, and pipes

Hey Guys, Time to make my bike look bad ***. Just had some questions and looking for suggestions and feedback.

I'm thinking about adding one of the roland sands intakes/brathers/velocity stacks. Wanted to make sure these work on the nighster and see if anyone has done this..IF so, did you have to recalibrate your engine, etc? Are you happy with the roland sands stuff?

Also, if anyone has added drag bars, which ones, what size? and how did you make them work with the stock risers? (anyone use the roland sands drag bars?)

How complicated is a speedo relocation?

As far as pipes go, it's a toss up between the cheaper route (screamin eagle black tips and heat gaurd, and vance and hines short shots)-Is recalibration required for screamin eagles tips?) I know it is for the v&h.

THanks for the help guys. Any other suggestions much appreciated!
Happy riding.

I don't use that a/c but you install a new a/c you'll need a remap, or a PC V. If you just do the exhaust you'll be fine not getting one (remap/PC V). If you switch bars, make sure they're 1" dia. and are knurled in the center for the clamps. If you want to run internal wiring look for them to be predrilled (no big deal if they're not, you can do it yourself too) but if you're not going to wire them internally make sure they're dimpled. As for the speedo relocation, https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...y-version.html

or possibly even this

And for the exhaust systems you were asking about, I don't have either one of them. I know the Short Shots are very common on Nightsters, I'd go to youtube and put in the exhaust you're looking for in the search bar.

You can do a search for Nightster here in this forum and see a boat load of mods with pics. Hell you can cruise the first six pages in the Sporster section and see a bunch of pics that are recent. It is kind of nice to see some examples first. Plus it will help you choose the direction you may want to go for any future mods.

are you getting the rolland sands flat out drag bars, with the risers built into it? those bars look sweet! they should work out fine as long as they are dimpled.

speedo is really easy jus a matter of a lil rewiring.

u will have to get ur bike remapped if ur changing out ac and pipes. as far as pipes go, you get what u paid for. get the v&h, u wont regret it. my only issue is that everybody has the shortshots.
