What Do You Do?
I run the stock ac on my 07.I have been just washing the filter per the manuel instructions,I have two so one has always been washed and ready to go,one on the bike.A few guys I have talked to have said I was being cheap,should buy a new filter every time.Seems that Harley would be pushing that if it was not alright to wash out and reuse.What are your thoughts?

I was once told by a parts guy at a dearlership that you could not wash the stock filter, even though the manual clearly says that you can ( i have an 02, not sure if they changed the filter in later models). Said that it would start to come apart. So I guess HD is pushing for new filters every time, but it all depends on the salesman. Using two filters is pretty musch SOP for oilable filter elements, so I would say if it's working, why spend the cash if you don't need to.
