Is this possible? I have oil coming out of the dipstick when I ride and making a mess of everything. Nothing is coming out the air filter. I changed the air filter about 900 miles ago after it was soaked in oil. The oil is about half way on the dipstick so do not think it is overfull. Any ideas?
Pray that your oil level is too high or the dipstick is not inserted properly only other reason would be crankcase pressure spitting back when returning the oil which is bad news ..

+1 Jay is right on the money. The dipstick should fit tight and be seated all the way. Inspect the dipstick gasket for any damage from not putting it back on right. I hope thats the problem.
If you haven't found a damaged O-ring on the oil cap seal, then you might want to consider other possible causes.
One of the things that can happen with oil is that it can foam up. Oil is supposed to have anti-foam agents in it to prevent excessive frothing. If you have recently changed brands of oil, you may want to go back to what you were using prior to the last oil and filter change.
You might also want to check to be sure the oil tank vent line isn't plugged up or kinked.
