I have a 08 Nightster with the Silver and Black Satin Flat paint. And while getting gas a couple months ago it spilled a little on the tank (It happens to us all) so i wiped it off with that window squeegee at the gas station and dried it off with a paper towel. But come to find out that little time the gas was on that tank (2 mins) it seeped through the finish and stained the tank yellow. Since then I have taken it to my local Stealer and they took pictures to see if it's warrantied cause that paint shouldn't absorb gas like that. Has anyone else seen this issue and if it's not warrantied any ideas how to remove the stain without repainting?
I'll keep posted about that Harley says
Edit: Harley called and they are replacing my tank under warranty (Wow i didn't see that one coming i thought i was going to have to eat it)

Wow that is amazing. i thought you would have had to eat that one as well. I guess there are a few good dealers out there. I know the ones around here would have laughed and told me to hit the road.
I was thinking about getting a satin colored bike cause they look sweet, but I am not surprised that there are alot of problems with cleaning and staining that type of finish.... I am glad I didn't get it.
