So I think i wanna wrap my pipes with the tan heat wrap but not sure how she'll look, I like the the blueing of the pipes now, but i'm goin for a unique kinda look with my bike, so should i keep the chrome, Tan heat wrap, whats yalls opinion, heres all the pics i got right now, can anybody photoshop some wrap on her???
I have always liked wrapepd pipes, but I'm not so sure about wrapping THOSE pipes. They put off a "show bike" vibe, wheras you are going for the bobber look. I'd have to see them to say for sure, but it might look odd. Just my opinon.
Black wrap with some of the blued, chrome tips showing.
I agree...black wrap with the chrome showing. I had an R1 with a turbo kit on it and I wrapped the exhaust in black, but I loved the color change of the pipe. So I just helped it a bit by grabbing a torch I had and blued the end of the exhaust myself.
FYI if you decide to do this try it with maybe your stock heatshield that you don't use and I suggest that when you do the tips heat them from the inside edge of the pipes.
i'm not really goin for a bobber, or show bike look at all, i'm just doin what i think looks good to me, I bought the pipes cause i thought they were sick and i was tired of seein short shots everywere i looked, I think i'll wait until i get tired of the chrome/blue pipes then i'll prolly wrap'em
