Got a problem....
My 08 Nightster stalls when trying to warm up when cold. Runs fine after it's warmed up.
The dealership re-mapped the computer at the 1000 mile tune up since I have Rush pipes with 2" baffles and a stock air cleaner. I'm wondering if the dealership re-mapped the computer thinking I have a stage 1 kit???
Help!
Fritter
Nope. I'm starting it while I put on the helmet, etc. It always happens about 30 seconds in. Then, when I start it again, I have to hold the throttle a bit to keep the engine running smooth, or it stalls.
My 08 1200c does the same thing except it doesn't die every time. once it warm it runs great no issues. i have the stage 1 which i added a pcIII on there from fuel moto which lessend it some but still does every now and then. mine did it with just the rush 2" also with the stock air cleaner. I think the best thing to do is have it fine tuned on a dyno which should fix the problem. It sounds to me that your air / fuel mixture is still off a bit. it still could be running to lean.
